Cameron Miller is the Founder & CEO of The Shaun Miller Foundation and began The Foundation in 2015

after watching his own son Shaun Miller pass away from Congenital Heart Disease (C.H.D) in 2012.

 

Shaun's wishes we're always focused on the other heart children and he became the only Heart Ambassador

in the Royal Children's Hospital (HeartKids) embracing the task of awareness and funding for the important

research required to find the baffling cure to C.H.D and end the struggles that all the children were facing.

He was continually on the net talking and helping people, whether it was someone who had just been

diagnosed with C.H.D, someone who was waiting for a transplant,  or just about to have a heart transplant.

​

Why is Cameron running the foundation?

​

Simply to follow in Shaun's wonderful footsteps, create awareness and fund the important research

required to cure Congenital Heart Disease forever.

​

Cameron and Shaun we're inseparable and was by his side when his only son took his last breath

on Saturday 26 May 2012 at the age of 17 years.

​

As a teenager Cameron worked at the Carlton Football Club from the age of 14 for 5 years

as Sports Trainer and Sports Massage Therapy the youngest staff member in the history of the club. 

He then wanted to pursue his greatest dreams in Film and Television as an actor and Film Producer.

​

Cameron began a Film Marketing Degree but deferred to be with Shaun especially when he needed

his second heart transplant at the age of only 13.

​

Cameron had a great mentor in Film and Television with the legendary actor Charles 'Bud' Tingwell 

and Cameron, Shaun and Bud we're very close friends and film business associates creating Bud's

first script together and building Bud's confidence to take on his first Directing role in Australian Film.

​

Cameron produced two Australian classic films 'Average Bloke' and 'Groomless Bride'

and has extensive knowledge in Film Distribution and Marketing.

In 2006 he distributed a film for the South Australian Film Corporation titled 'Shot of Love'  
a theatrical Independent film release in Melbourne / Sydney / South Australia / Perth and Tasmania.  

Cameron released premiere's for 'Shot Of Love' in Melbourne and South Australia  
and dealt with company's like Hoyt's, Greater Union, Reading Cinema's, Metro Boronia Cinema's  
and worked to budget for the release.

In 2010 Cameron distributed a feature film entitled 'Hobby Farm' in Melbourne / Sydney and Perth.

​

Cameron has also spent time in Los Angeles working with actors like Corey Feldman (Lost Boys / Gremlins /

Goonies by Steven Spielberg, the late Rowdy Roddy Piper (W.F.C) Nikki Griffin (Tokyo Drift / The O.C T.V series)  
and Jason Acuna (Wee Man from Jackass).

He believes a critical ingredient of a great team is the people within and their expertise and knowledge

from our Board of Directors, Staff, Sponsors and partners The Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute.

The Shaun Miller Foundation are a professional and dedicated group that strive to share Shaun's dream

with the world and find the cure of Congenital Heart Disease forever.
